Am I covered for cancellation if one of my relatives is taken ill?
Yes, subject to the policy terms and conditions relating to the health of travelling companions and others on whom the journey may depend. If your relative is taken ill, or dies before you are due to go away, the insurance will pay for your cancellation costs. A relative includes any of the following who is under 85 years of age and is a resident in Australian and New Zealand: husband or wife (or de facto partner with whom you are living permanently at the same address), parent, grandparent, parent-in-law, brother, sister, child, grandchild, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or fiancé(e).
